Vancouver, B.C.’s very own The Washboard Union have struck gold with the song “Shot Of Glory.” Taken from their major label debut, In Our Bones, the song was a Top 5 hit at Canadian country radio earlier this Spring and has since become a concert favourite as the band wowed audiences at festivals throughout the summer. Shot of Glory has officially been certified gold in Canada. This is the first gold record for The Washboard Union.
”We are truly humbled today to hear this news and we share this milestone with every single one of our fans. Thank you to our families and friends for their support and our team at Warner Music Canada, Jim Campbell and Derek Ross at Slaight Music, Paul Biro, Ron Sakamoto, and the Sakamoto Agency as well as our producers Jeff Dalziel and Trey Bruce for all of your hard work getting us here. This is a day we will never forget.” – The Washboard Union (David, Chris, Aaron)

At the recent Canadian Country Music Awards they won their second consecutive Roots Group of the Year award and performed their hit single, “Shine,” on the nationally televised broadcast. And then, this past weekend they won Country Artist of the Year at the Western Canadian Music Awards. As of today, “Shine,” the first single from their forthcoming album entered the Top 10 at Canadian country radio making it the band’s third Top 10 hit in under 2 years.
